Recycling
We all know that we should recycle and most of us do. I know in some towns it is easier than others. I am not going to get into the effects of the environment, you all know that, or you should by now. If you live in an area that you can turn in your cans to a "scrap" place you are not only helping the environment but you are making some easy money. Just look up recycling in your phone book, or scrap dealers. If there are a couple dealers around find out what they pay for aluminum. A large garbage bag full of crushed cans may only give you 6-8 dollars but that's 2-3 gallons of gas and they are not going to the landfill.
More Ways to Save
Don't rule out using the Dollar Stores, Big Lots, etc to do bargain shopping. Some of these stores do not accept manufacturers coupons, however I do know that Dollar General and Family Dollar have many good deals on food and health and beauty products and these two stores will take coupons. Just a few weeks ago there was a Mr. Potato Head coupon out and Dollar General had it at a ridiculously low price and I had read online that people were stocking up on these for next Christmas for less than $1.00 each. I will let you know if I come across a deal like that again!

Good morning! Do you EBATE? I do! I just went to Target in my jammies and robe while sipping my second cup of coffee. I love shopping online and when I do I almost exclusively do it through Ebates. If you have never heard of Ebates or are not sure of Ebates, I hope to change your mind. It is FREE MONEY!! No scam, no gimmicks, I don't go for that crap. I have been doing Ebates since the fall of 2008 and I have made $218.80 in real money.
Here's how it works~ you sign up and then when you want to do any kind of shopping online you go through the Ebate site. Ebates has over 1200 stores with online deals, coupons and they give you cash back for every purchase. I shopped at Target earlier, their cash back is 3%. I bought 7 throw pillows and new curtains for my living room for $75.00 (I thought that was a pretty good deal!) I will earn $2.25 cash back for that purchase. Do you bid on e-bay? E-bay is on there too!
Once you set up your account, you let them know how you want paid. Organizing Coupons with the CouponPro
There are a couple different ways to organize a massive amount of coupons. I have tried the little expandable things and then the envelope method but they were not organized at all for me. I found the CouponPro organizer and I have found it to be awesome. It comes with everything you need except the coupons. It is a zippered binder with clear inserts and tabs and oh so very organized! It paid for itself the first time I went shopping. An empty zippered binder at Wal-Mart was around $12.00. There was no way I could put this kind of quality binder together for the price I paid for it. I ordered extra 3 pocket inserts because the coupons you print are larger than the Sunday paper coupons and they fit nicely in here. I think with shipping my order was around $32.00. Trust me, I try to be an organized person and this fits the bill!
If you are new to super couponing, keep plugging away! It takes a couple shopping trips to get comfortable with matching coupons with sales. Think of it as a hobby, not a chore. It is fun! Every time I save a bunch of money I want to top it with my next shopping trip. I am inspired to find more coupons, more deals and I am getting very picky about what I am willing to pay for something. If I don't really need something then I wait, it might be on sale next week and I may have a coupon for it. Make it your new hobby- save your money for fun stuff.

How fast can you fill out a form?
When you are just starting out with coupons or freebies, have you noticed that on every web page they want your life history? Well at least your name, address, age, etc. I found out about Roboform of course it is free and once you install it on your toolbar --you fill in all of that info once and you are done. Then, when you go to a site that needs your address, phone, etc. you click your name on Roboform and it will fill it all in for you. It's very easy to do. They have a version that you can pay for, however I have the FREE one! It makes all of this much simpler.

The Deep, Deep Story Behind My Blog Title
I have 3 wonderful kids, 2 big, kind of grown up boys 23, and 21, and my daughter 15. When I was 31, I graduated from Nursing School. No small feat with my husband and I working 3 jobs between the 2 of us, raising 3 kids and juggling schedules. Grandma's and Grandpa's worked also so no help there.
I had my dream career for 8 years and then 2 neck surgeries, low back problems, chronic pain rendered me unable to work. In the meantime my husband (39 at the time) had a stroke. We lost our insurance, our jobs, then our house. Needless to say, it is very easy to become depressed with so much hitting in such a small window of time.
We moved away from family, the old house, the old jobs. We wanted to start over. Here we are. That was 7 months ago. The first 7 months have not been easy either. My husband (who is doing great-Thank you God) took a job that pays less than we were used to, however he loves it! He can keep up with the work and it's not as exhausting.
This is where the coupons/freebies/deals come in. Less money=cut backs somewhere. I was getting tired of making crappy dinners. Spam-yuck! What did I do with my time. I found coupons, freebies and deals and I love to share. I am no longer depressed. I can't wait to get going in the morning to blog, tweet, facebook and find deals!

Drug Store Deals
Do you ever think of doing your grocery shopping at Walgreens, CVS or Rite Aid? I never did. Not until recently. Where I live Walgreens and CVS are a little too far out of the way so I haven't been there to cash in on my savings, however I have come to LOVE Rite Aid. My Rite Aid is a pretty big store with a fair amount of grocery items, some frozen foods and cold foods. Last week I was able to get $158.76 worth of grocery items for $31.11. Amazing right! Cereal was BOGO and I had a ton of coupons---did you know you can use 2 coupons when you get a BOGO? They are scanning the item twice, so you use 1 coupon for each item. Rite Aid also allows you to "stack" coupons. If they have a coupon in their flyer or ad, you can also use a manufacturer coupon with it-- 2 coupons on 1 item, and if the item is in the ad, it is probably on sale. It's not hard, it just takes a little bit of planning and organization.

My Mom
My Mom has always been the absolute Queen of Frugal. When we were growing up (4 of us) she could stretch a dollar like it was made of silly putty.
